Here's the house I bid on and got at the St.Louis Sheriffs tax sale last Wed. :    3317 S. 18th street.    It's a real house for $2689.00-not a bird house, not a home for a garden gnome, not a yuppie dog house...a real dang home built in 1890(or earlier?)in Benton Park. This might be where I hang my laundry till I find a place w/larger yard for food forest, dog/squirrel interaction and tinker space. I'm having trouble finding fault with a good bubble popping economic downturn.

Here's the 1981 Honda CX500 I just got today for $50. It is a running ride-able bike...but has an oil leak from the oil filter cover or maybe the clutch cover/case. It came w/a nice Clymer manual and good bungee cords,etc...zoom zoom. I've been looking for an "80's twin sjm(standard Japanese motorcycle) and found this 15 minutes from home.

I cut and installed more stakes marking things I've planted so maybe they have a chance of surviving mowing by someone else. The bald Cyprus trees have pushed out nice new green. The persimmon are slow to develop their leaves(unless you have Terri's green thumb in the Lou-hers are a month ahead of mine) but are starting to green out. The peonies are in bloom along with the iris and orange poppies about the homestead.
